Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. He was born at home in the Town of Cambria, NY on March 30, 1934, a son of the late John and Helen [Reipold] Gailie.
Mr. Gailie was a graduate of Wilson High School and served with the US Army.
He was employed with Emil Van Dugan in Lockport for over 25 years and later with Tractor Supply for 21 years before retiring.
Mr. Gailie was a member of the Niagara County Sheriff Mounted Division and enjoyed horse back riding and taking care of his farm.
He is survived by his by his wife of 72 years Nancy J. [Wagoner] Gailie, two daughters Sherry Gailie Shaver and Colleen (Robert) Gailie-Mondello, four grandchildren Angie, Richard, Jedidiah and Jeremy, two great grandsons Quytian and Koltyn, also many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gailie was the brother of the late John, Anthony, Leonard Gailie and Frances Tuffarlo.
His family will be present on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, followed by graveside services at 11:00 AM at Hillside Cemetery, 4859 Cambria Road, Lockport, NY 14094.
Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Sanborn, NY.
