Richard was a retired electrician with a keen sense of humor who loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family.
Richard is survived by his wife, Robin Barkley; children, Richard J. Barkley and Gregory D. Barkley; daughter-in-laws, Victoria Barkley and April Baxter; grandson, Jarrod T. Barkley; granddaughter, Lauryn O. Barkley; great granddaughter, Haydin Burnett-Barkley; sister, Linda C. Cook; mother-in-law, Dorothy G. Hickman; sister-in-law Darlene (Wayne) Pogue; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Carter B. Barkley; mother, Laura P. Hone; and uncle, Clyde D. Driver.
A private service for Richard will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 with family only. Online condolences may be sent to hiers-baxley.com.
Richard will be dearly missed and forever loved.
