With a heart full of loving memories, we announce the passing of Richard Lee Goldstone on December 12, 2023. He was affectionately known to his long-time friends as Rick, or Finch. He was born on May 15, 1958 in Sharon, PA. Rick's life was a testament to fun, passion, resilience, and a strong appreciation of family and friends. His sense of humor and warm heart left a mark on everyone he met, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. His love for his extended family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he always advocated for family gatherings, which, because of him, we do several times a year. Sadly, Rick won't be there in person this year, but happily, he will be there in spirit.
Rick was a man of many passions; his love for long-distance running mirrored his resilient spirit. He wasn't the fastest, but he was consistent, persistent and determined, much like his approach to life. He was known to say, "It does not matter how slow you go as long as you get out and do it", a mantra he applied on both his hour + long runs and in his life. His love for the Grateful Dead was unwavering, having attended more than 50 concerts over the years. Finch was a true "Dead Head" and found joy and pleasure in their music.
Rick was an active participant in programs that offered addiction and rehabilitation services. He committed his time and energy to helping others that faced addition challenges, be it interventions or ongoing counseling and support. We were proud Rick's commitment to giving back to this community.
In his professional life, Richard pursued a career in sales and sales management in the furniture and appliance industry. His life long goal was to own his own furniture store, something he never quite achieved, but a goal that he pursued over his entire life. He spent a number of years working in the family business before setting out to own his own business. One thing that became clear, he had an innate ability to turn around underperforming retail stores and get new ones up and running. It earned him the respect and recognition of his professional peers and superiors.
Rick lived in various places, including Flagstaff, Arizona where he pursued a college degree at Northern Arizona University. In addition, he lived in Sharon, where he worked in the family business. He also lived in Long Beach, CA, and Albuquerque NM before settling in Denver, CO.
Rick is survived by his brothers, Rob Goldstone and Larry Goldstone, his nephew, David Goldstone and his nieces Mari Moughan, Sarah Goldstone, Rebecah Goldstone and Emi Goldstone. He also has six grand nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Myron "Mike" Goldstone and Marjorie "Morgan" Goldstone. His life was a beautiful example of passion, generosity, resilience, love, and family. He will be dearly missed.
In celebration of Rick's life, we invite you to leave memories and upload photos on this memorial page, which can be found at https://www.frontrangebcs.com/. Your stories and pictures will serve as a testament to the wonderful life he lived and the incredible person he was. He left us too soon, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

I worked with Rick at Appliance Factory Outlet in Denver for several years. He was a very nice person and I am sorry to hear this news.
