GORMAN, RICHARD D. "DICK" of West Bloomfield, passed away June 12, 2025 at 90 years of age. Loving husband of Sharon (Bigler) for 55 years. Father of Curt (Roberta) Gorman, the late Lori Vickery, Amy McKee, and Beth Gorman (Wayne); grandfather of Dakota (Erica), Colton (Amy), Chase Vickery (Beatrice), and Rylee; great grandfather of Grover, Summer, and Raeleigh; brother of the late Joan (Melvin) Miller; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Son of Richard and Laura Gorman, he was born in Greenville, Michigan in 1935. Dick "the butcher" was a recognized friendly face of Bigler's Market in Waterford. He appreciated a simple tangible life in the company of others: Sunday mornings spent on Williams Lake racing his sailboat, casting a line hoping to reel in the big fish on the shores of Lake Huron, camping and searching for arrowheads at Beaver Creek in MO, and evenings spent sitting by the creek in PA watching Elmer's cows head to the barn for the night. He loved to spin a good tale, and was cherished by family and friends. Funeral mass will be held Monday, June 16, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Perpetua Catholic Church, 134 Airport Rd, Waterford. Private burial at Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston. Family will receive friends Monday 10:00 AM until time of mass. Arrangements entrusted to COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.
