It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Charles Gorski of Canton, MI, who left us peacefully on June 24, 2025. He was born on July 24, 1946, in Detroit, MI.
Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force before embarking on a fulfilling career at Ford Motor Company, from which he later retired. He shared 57 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Joyce Gorski, a testament to their enduring love and commitment.
A devoted family man, Richard's greatest pride was his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, especially during their memorable family vacations. Richard was also an avid sportsman who loved to golf, bowl, and play card games. He was an enthusiastic fan of Michigan Football and all Detroit sports.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; his sons Kevin (Suzie) Gorski and Brian (Kelly) Gorski; his daughter Kelly (Jason) Zarzycki; his sister-in-law Josephine Gorski; and his nephew Charles Gorski. He was a cherished grandfather to Matthew, Justin, Ashleigh, Jordan, Carsyn, Rhyan, Lance, Drew, and Aria.
Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Gorski.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held on Saturday, June 28th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a special time of remembrance from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard's memory to the American Heart Association. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Richard, please visit our Tree Store.
