Richard Ashley Gray, 73, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 in Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. Born in Providence, he was the son of that late Percy and Pauline (Cartier) Gray. Richard was a maintenance carpenter for Avery Dennison Company for many years in Westborough, MA. until retiring. He was a US Navy Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He also worked at Foxwoods in CT, and was a volunteer firefighter in Harrisville. He leaves one son, Richard A. Gray, II and his wife, Hidy; brother of Barbara Jean Rutka, Cheryl-Ann Allard, Deborah Jane Dosdourian, Linda Sue Berrard; grandfather of Nicholas and Dekoda Rose.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 7pm in the Tucker Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave, Greenville. Visiting hours will be prior from 4-7pm. Burial with full Military Honors will be held Friday, March 10th at 1pm in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 will be appreciated.
