He was born on September 21, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY to Paul Gunn and Mary McCarthy. Richard greatly enjoyed his work and spent many years working in a Christmas tree factory. He was always mesmerized by the magic of the holiday season.
Richard was a very kind and gentle soul who enjoyed visiting with others. All who met him instantly gravitated towards him and commented on how sweet he was. His faith was very important to him and he could often be found with his rosary at the local bible study.
A graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, 416 Church Rd., Colchester on Thursday, October 16, at 11:00am. We would welcome all who knew Richard to join and celebrate his life.
