Richard J. Haas, of Maple Shade, passed away on September 25th, 2025. He was 74 years old. Richard was born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 26th, 1951, to the late Raymond Haas and the late Marie Emily Connors (nee Cullen). Devoted husband of 52 years to Linda (nee Tyrol). Beloved father of Katie Carangi. Loving Pop to Chase Rosenberger. Brother to Linda and his late siblings, Raymond, Nancy, Patricia, and Ronald. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Rich was a painter/supervisor at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for 18 years until its closing in 1996. He worked as a commercial painter for 19 years for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He retired in 2016. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, vacationing in the Poconos, canoeing, hiking in the woods, gardening, working around the house, helping people, and babysitting his granddog, Luna. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Givnish Funeral Home of Maple Shade, located at 600 E Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ, 08052. Immediately following the viewing, there will be a funeral service beginning at 11:30 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service at Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill. Located at 100 Kings Highway N, Cherry Hill Township, NJ, 08034. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society. https://donate.cancer.org/
