Richard Myron Hall died peacefully in his home on November 2, 2025 at the age of 91. He was born on September 20,1934 in
Wetumka, Oklahoma. He was the third son of D.G. and Myra Hall.
Richard attended Wetumka Central School, first through 4th grade. After that he attended various schools due to his father's military assignments during and after WWII. After high school, Richard joined the Marines and is a veteran of The Korean War.
In 1955 Richard enrolled at Oklahoma State University in the school of Geology. At that time, he lived with his grandfather E.D. Hall in Wetumka.
After graduating from the School of Geology Richard went to work in 1960 for the Continental Geophysical Company and in September of 1963 he married Annette (Morris) Hall in the Wetumka Methodist Church.
In 1967 he went to work for Skelly Oil Company as a geophysicist and moved with his family to Midland, Texas. In 1968, he joined the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. Richard worked for Skelly Oil in Midland and Oklahoma City for ten years.
In 1977 Richard and family moved to Oklahoma City and he went to work for Anadarko Petroleum Company as The Division Geophysicist for the Mid-Continent Division. He was with Anadarko Petroleum until he retired in 2000. After retirement Richard started his own company, Richard M. Hall and Associates and worked as a consulting exploration geophysicist in the Mid-Continent area.
Richard is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Annette, his parents, and two brothers Edward and David Hall. He is survived by daughters Nancy Cardenas and husband John, Deborah Scarlett and husband John Neal (deceased), Alice Cobb and husband Casey. Richard was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Alexandra Cardenas Daniliuc and husband Andrei and daughter Sabine, Clay Cardenas, Caleb Cobb and his wife Abigail and son Moses, Joshua Cobb and wife Aspen, and John Ryan and Jackie Scarlett.
Richard was a long-time member of the Wetumka Methodist Church and in his later years regularly attended and was baptized at the Church of Christ at Oakdale in Oklahoma City.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his dog Jack, and hunting for quail and working with his horses.
Viewing for Richard M. Hall will be held prior to the funeral service, Friday, November 7, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home.
