Richard P. "Rick" Hantz

Richard Paul “Rick” Hantz, cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, at the age of 76. Rick was the devoted husband of Barbara E. Evans and a loving father to Elinor Anne (Hantz) Koleck and Jason Andrew Hantz. He was the beloved son of the late Lila (née Hofheins) and his adopted father Wilber J. Hantz Jr., and dear brother to the late Randolph O. Hantz. He is survived by two nieces, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

A dedicated fourth-generation meat cutter, Rick honored the family legacy by working at several local markets and proudly owning the family market for many years. Beyond his profession, he had a passion for digital communications and was an active member of the Tonawandas Sportsmen’s Club.

Rick’s family will receive friends on Saturday, April 25th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM where a Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 5090 Transit Road, Depew, NY.

His gentle spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
