Richard Lawrence Haring, Jr., 42, of Savanna, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 24, 2024 due to a complication from a medical condition.
Richard was born July 10, 1981, in Morrison, IL, the son of Richard and Charleen (Anderson) Haring, Sr. He graduated from Savanna High School with the class of 1999. Richard was known for his passion for mechanics and could be found wrenching on motors of all kinds from a young age. Richard was able to make a lifelong career out of fixing things.
Beyond his mechanical expertise, Richard will be remembered for the love he had for his family, friends, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He touched the lives of many with his generosity and great sense of humor.
Richard leaves behind cherished memories of time spent with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege to know him.
Richard is survived by his children, Ryleigh, Bryar, Payton and Kinsley Haring; his mother, Charleen Haring of Savanna; his two sisters, Jamie Roberts of Michigan and Ruth (Randy) Hurt of Savanna; six nephews, Jarin Schmidt, Cody Schmidt, Andrew Schmidt, Tyler Schmidt, Jacob Schmidt, Ramsey Hurt; one niece, Reese Hurt.
Richard is preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Haring, Sr.
A Celebration of Richard's Life will be held by the family at a later date.
