Richard "Phillip" Harris II, age 38, of Zebulon, passed away June 16, 2022.
Phillip was born into a military family on June 18, 1983, in North Chicago, Illinois. As a child Phillip spent time living in Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee. Phillip earned a Bachelor's Degree of IT in Information Security from Western Governors University. He worked for many years as contractor. He spent the last year of his life in Zebulon, Georgia with his mother and grandmother.
Phillip was a free spirit with a kind soul. He had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to his plants and garden. He was incredibly intelligent and self-taught on a variety of subjects. Phillip was curious about the world and many cultures and their customs. He was also handy and could fix just about anything. He was a loving father, son, and grandson. Memories of Phillip will be cherished by family and the many friends who loved him dearly.
Phillip was preceded in death by his grandparents: William Odom, Leon Harris, and Donna Bishop. He is survived by his beloved son: Richard Phillip "Tre" Harris III; mother: Catherine Melinda Odom Harris; father: Richard Phillip Harris Sr.; girlfriend: Michelle Jenkins; grandmother: Julia Odom; aunts and uncles: Susan (Tony) Davidson, Steve Harris, Sparkie Harris and Sharon Bishop; cousins: William Lowell, Rachel (Dave) Raymond and her children Lucy and Sophia.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Phillip was the best nephew an aunt could ever ask for. He was kind, loving, loyal and one of the most intelligent people I've ever known. I miss you every day Phillip. My heart is forever broken. I love you so much and wish you were here. Until we meet again.....
