Richard "Harry" Harrison, age 86, of Troy passed away in Belton, Texas on Monday, July 21, 2025. He was born August 8, 1938 in Washington, Indiana to parents Clifford and Iva Mae (Wainman) Harrison.

Harry was currently living in Troy but had been a resident of Morgan's Point for over 46 years. Harry married the love of his life, JoAnn, in 1996 in Temple. He loved living in Morgan's Point and feeding the deer around his home. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He fed the deer around his home for pleasure but hunted on his lease for the same reason. Bowling was also a favorite hobby for many, many years.

Harry retired from the United Stated Army and National Guard after 24 years. He then went on to retire from Scott & White after another 23 years. Harry was known at Scott & White as he was the technician that worked on the pneumatic tube system for the hospital.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife JoAnn in 2021.

Harry was a loving father to his children and leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter Brenda Milam of Gatesville, daughter Carolyn Botts of Temple, daughter Teena Yeager of Troy, son Richard Harrison Jr. of Belton, son Clifford Harrison of Academy, and stepdaughter Janna McCarn Dailey of Temple. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and friends.

"Our precious Callie was a rescue, she has been such a joy in our lives; they give so much love. Rescue when you can." Please make donations to the Temple Animal Shelter.

"Take care of the abused little ones." Please make donations to the Foster Love of Bell County Organization.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Wilson Valley Cemetery in Little River on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10 o'clock a.m. The family will be accepting visitors at the funeral home on Friday evening between the hours of 6 and 8 o'clock p.m.
