Richard James Hausman, 77 of Glen Burnie passed away on May 26, 2024. Richard was born on May 30, 1946 to the late Oscar and Louise Hausman. Richard will be deeply missed by his family, including his devoted wife, children, grandchildren, and a circle of relatives and friends. His kind heart, warm smile, and gentle presence touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine M. Hausman; his devoted daughter, Ann Keyser (Richard); his loving grandchildren, Alexus and Matthew Keyser; and his nephew, Brian Matulonis.
Richard was known for his passion for bowling and was a member of a bowling league where he showcased his skills with grace and sportsmanship. He also had a love of cars. Aside from his hobbies, Richard found immense joy in spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He shared countless happy moments with them, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Friday, May 31st from 12-1 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel.
Contributions in Richard’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
As we bid farewell to Richard James Hausman, let us remember him not with sadness but with gratitude for the light he brought into our lives. Rest in peace, Richard.
