Richard F. "Rick" Hilton Jr.

Richard F. Hilton, Jr. 68, of Rochester, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness.
Born in Texas, Rick spent most of his life on Cape Cod. In 2007 he met and married the love of his life and moved to New Hampshire. Together they melded their 4 children and formed a family.
Rick served in the U.S. Air Force with the 102nd Security Police. He was so proud to serve in the military. At the age of 14 he discovered his passion for music. He spent 54 years playing in front of audiences all over as a bass player. His unique style of playing earned him the nickname "Hammer" by his band mates. Rarely sitting still, he was also a carpenter and at the time of his death Rick was working for Home Depot on the overnight freight team in the lumber department.
Rick is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kathy, their 4 children, Jennifer (Justin) Sampieri, who called him "Dad", Emily Adams who called him "Padre", and Andrew and Kenneth Adams, who called him "Richard". He was Grandpa to Tyler and EllaGrace, Papa to Teddy, Jack, Indigo, Annabelle, Everly, Evangeline and Alex. He is also survived by his mother Norma Hilton and sister Karen Gowen of Cape Cod, a brother Scott of Arizona, along with his niece and nephews, Taylor, Tyler, Jake and Garrett (Ariel).
He was predeceased by his father Richard F. Hilton, Sr. and his stepmom Joyce.
Calling hours will be Monday, March 24, 2025, from 6-8pm at Tasker FH, 621 Central Ave, Dover, NH. A military burial will take place at the State of NH Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen at a later date.
