Richard Cullen Holman Jr., 69, of Greenfield, passed away October 11th, 2023. He was born in Indianapolis December 21st, 1953, to parents Richard Holman Sr. and Sondra Lee (Dubner) Holman.
Early years, Rick grew up in Indianapolis, and graduated from Southport High School. Rick proudly served his country in the United States Marines for 2 years. Rick worked for many years as a truck driver until retirement. He delivered medical supplies for Owens & Minor.
In 2003, Rick married the love of his life, Tammy. They shared 20 plus years of wonderful years together until Tammy’s passing August 28th, 2023.
Rick was a strong gentleman, with a great sense of humor, and a huge heart. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing as often as he could. He was a great family man.
Rick is survived by his stepchildren; Mellissa (Reyes) Rodriguez and Robert (Tia Lazzaropolis) Rutherford II; grandson/son Kaleb (Nikayla Parker) Rutherford; Joe and Pam Holman; Doug and Suzy Holman. Plus, several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Tammy Holman; stepson Geoffery Rutherford; and sister Terry Crayster.
Rick’s graveside service will be Friday October 20th, at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East, at 2:30pm. Guest and family are welcome to gather at the Funeral Center (10722 E. Washington St) at 2:15pm to process to the graveside together. A memorial visitation will follow at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East from 3pm to 5pm.
