Richard Glenn Ishmael Jr, 83, of Findlay, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Blanchard Valley Hospital on Monday, August 11, 2025. He was born on October 23, 1941, in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the Late Richard and Anna (Graham) Ishmael. On June 4, 1960, he married Antoinette Louise Bunish who survives in Findlay.

He is also survived by his two daughters Gwendolyn (Thomas) Wyble, Melissa Dyer, and three sons Richard III (April) Ishmael, John (Amy) Ishmael, and James (Teresa) Ishmael. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Chris (Melody) Wyble, Jackie (Darren) Reeg, Michael Ishmael, Dakota Ishmael, Derek (Emily) Ishmael, Wade (Courtney) Ishmael, Dalton (Hannah) Ishmael, Brittany (Phillip) Ishmael, Brandon (Megan) Ishmael, Brock (Chelsi) Hill, Weston (Morgan) Hill, Leo Becknell, Branson Becknell, Christina Cox, Shelby (Jonathan) Dyer, Storm (Colt) Stover. He is survived by 21 great grandchildren as well.

Richard enjoyed collecting coins, researching genealogy, and watching football, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also had a love for birds, especially eagles. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, spreading joy with his fair share of jokes, and watching John Wayne movies.

Visitation for Richard will be held on Friday August 15, 2025, from 11am-1pm at Wilson's Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. James Hoff, officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
