Mary Lou Ishmael, 88, of Georgetown, Kentucky passed away August 11, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on December 12, 1936, in Wheelersburg, OH to her late mother, Helen Reese Nolan. She was the office manager at Ved Pro, her husband's business. Her most important job was lovingly taking care of her family and friends. She was a member of Safe Harbor Baptist Church in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Mary was a devoted wife to Richard Ishmael for 67 years. She will be remembered by her sister-in-law Thelma Ishmael; nephews and nieces Sherry (Jerry) Linebarger, Ed Ishmael, Jeff Ishmael and Henry, Susan (Jim) Victor, John Ishmael and Troy, Becky Ishmael Struck, Tim (Teresa) Ishmael and Rodney Petty nephew in law; 16 great nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends that will miss her so much. She was preceded in death by her son David Ishmael, mother Helen Reese Nolan, stepfather Orville Nolan, sister Bonnie Nolan and niece Peggy Petty. She is also survived by a granddaughter in Wisconsin.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire all who were touched by her presence. A visitation will be held on Saturday 16th, 2025 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with a funeral to follow at 1:30pm with Rev. Andy Waldrip as officiant. Burial will take place at Crestlawn Cemetery in Georgetown, KY. Pallbearers will be Jacob Struck, Jerry Linebarger, Ed Ishmael, John Ishmael, Jeff Ishmael and Jacob Linebarger.
