Richard Karney, 64, of Carol Stream passed away on July 23, 2023. Born in St. Charles to Olga and Horst Karney, Richard was one of three siblings. Linda and Richard soon expanded their family with their sons Rich and Darryl. Richard was an avid Ham radio operator, his call sign was W9DBX. He also played the guitar beautifully with a distinctive fingerpicking style. He was a very patriotic man with a deep love for his country. In his later years his grandchildren brought great joy to his life.
