Richard William Keiser, age 89 of Harrison, Ohio passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, at Harrison Trail Health Campus.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 12, 1935, a son to William Lester and Martha Schrader Keiser. He was a graduate of Taylor High School in 1955 and graduated from Ohio Mechanics Institute (OMI, part of the University of Cincinnati) in 1958 with an Associate of Science Degree. Richard met and married his beloved wife Ruth Waite Keiser in 1957 and just celebrated 68 years of marriage.
Richard worked as a land surveyor for Joseph M. Allen Surveying and Engineering Co. for 8 years. He received his Professional Surveyor's License in 1967 and moved to Washington Court House, Ohio where he worked for the Fayette County Engineers department for 30 years.
Richard enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds baseball, The Ohio State University Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals football. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing softball, woodworking, bonfires, and spending time with his family.
In 2005, Richard & Ruth moved to Columbia, Tennessee, and lived there for 15 years before moving to Harrison, Ohio in 2020.
Richard was a member of the Fayette County Republican Central Committee for 32 years. He was also a Sunday School Superintendent for 25 years at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington Court House and a Good Hope, Ohio Lion's Club member for 45 years.
He is survived by his loving wife: Ruth Keiser; two children: Rajean (Don) Robinette of Washington Court House, OH and Randy (Gwen) Keiser of Brentwood, TN;six grandchildren: Erik (Rachel) Robinette, Kris (Alex) Robinette, Morgan (Sean) Hines, Jack Keiser, D'yln (Preston) Trammell, Sarah Burgess; and six great grandchildren: Ellie, Briana and Karson Robinette, Kaleb and Haley Robinette, and Emma Neuberger. He is preceded in death by his sister: Ruth Linz in December 2024.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
