Rick was born in Rochester, NY on March 12th, 1955, the son of the late Rev. George and Jennie (Sanzotta) Kingsley. He graduated from Elmira Free Academy and married Andrea Strong in Guyanoga, NY on May 30th, 1992. He worked as an electronics technician for many years. Rick was a member of the Yates Amateur Radio Club call sign KE2BV, the American Radio Relay League, Seneca Lake Masonic Lodge #308. He loved to play his keyboard and build ramps for his grandson's cars. Rick was "Mr. Fix It"-anything electronic he could fix it!
Rick is survived by his wife of 31 years, Andrea (Strong) Kingsley; daughter, Chelsea (Darren) Merkley of Dundee; grandson, Dominick A. Merkley (his favorite person), sister, Sharon Pardo of Florida; brother, John (Renee) Kingsley of Galway, NY; sister-in-law, Nancy Kingsley and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Rick was predeceased by his brother, Paul Kingsley and brother-in-law, Jim Pardo.
Friends and family may call from 4 pm to 6 pm on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 followed by a Masonic Memorial Service at 5:45 pm at Townsend Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY 14527. Memorial donations may be made in Rick's memory to the Yates County Humane Society, PO Box 12, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
