Richard E. Laba Jr, 19, suddenly of University Park, IL. affectionately known as "Jr". Is the loving son of Richard and Stacie Laba.
Proud brother of Taylor (Jason) Trzupek-Weigand, Hailey, Samantha (Inderraj), and Joseph Laba.
Dear grandson of Gene and Lori Bellan, and the late Pearl, Poppi, and Joseph. Kind nephew and cousin to many who will deeply miss him.
Richard Jr. was a 2024 graduate of Crete-Monee High School, where he achieved Magna Cum Laude honors. He continued his education at Columbia College Chicago, majoring in Animation and Computer Graphics, and was recognized on the Dean's List twice. He was a creative and talented young man with a passion for gaming, art, and storytelling through digital media.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life honoring Richard Jr. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Silver Lake Country Club, 14700 82nd Avenue, Orland Park, Illinois 60462.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PAWS Critters Crossing, by selecting "Plant a Tree"through the funeral home website, or to the family's GoFundMe page.
