Richard "Dick" Allen Landers, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, with his beloved daughter by his side. Born on November 1, 1938, in
Bellaire, Ohio, Dick lived a full and meaningful life of 87 years.
Dick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 67 years, Sandra "Sandy" Landers, who was not only the love of his life but also his best friend. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
He is survived by his loving children: Jennifer Landers, Dee Ann (Ron) Marling, and Rich (Vickie) Landers. His legacy continues through his grandchildren; Heather (Eric) Milovac, Lacy Landers, and Zack Landers; as well as many nieces, nephews and family friends.
Dick is also survived by his sister, Sandy Tustin and his sister-in-law, Marilyn Mokros. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and James Landers, his brother, Don Landers, and his sister, Judy Schreiner.
A dedicated worker, Dick served as a Supervisor at the Mitchell Power Plant until his well-earned retirement. Beyond his professional life, he was a passionate supporter of the Bellaire Touchdown Club and member of the Moundsville Country Club. He loved hosting pool parties and was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help others. Dick found joy in watching the Bellaire Big Reds, Buckeyes, golfing and most of all going to Gullas with his friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 12 PM to 5 PM at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home - Bellaire Chapel. A service officiated by Dick Frizzi will follow at 5 PM. Dick will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, beside his beloved Sandy.
In this time of mourning, we remember Dick not only for his hard work and dedication but also for the love and kindness he shared with everyone around him. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
His family and friends are at peace knowing that Dick is reunited with his wife Sandy.
