Mr. Richard “Daniel” Lanier 45 of Cumming departed this life April 7, 2025, at his residence. Richard was born in Atlanta to his parents Charles and Linda Benefield Lanier. Mr. Lanier was a lifelong Forsyth County resident of the Baptist faith. Daniel graduated from South Forsyth High School in 1997. He loved his friends and family dearly. Daniel was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan; he could be heard yelling “Go Dawgs” in the fall on Saturdays. Daniel is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Lanier.
Survivors include his father, Charles Lanier, sister, Monica Lanier Day (Travis), nephew, Ethan Day, Nieces, Morgan LeBaron, and Hunter LeBaron, great niece, Saylor LeBaron, as well as many friends and extended family. Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Daniel Lanier will be Friday April 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Internment will follow in Haw Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday April 10, 2025, from 12:00 Pm until 8:00 PM.
