Richard R. Lovelace, 90, of Hernando, FL, passed away on August 3, 2025. He was born on August 3, 1935 in Pontiac, MI on August 3, 1935, to the late Clayton and Daisy Mae Lovelace.
Richard worked as a design automotive engineer for Pontiac-GM Manufacturing in Michigan before relocating to Citrus County, Florida where he has lived for 30 years. He enjoyed trains and woodworking. He made icons and candle holders as well as managed construction at church.
Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 70 years, Sylvia Lovelace; son, Ronald Lovelace and his wife Karina; daughter, Susan Lovelace; grandchildren, Alex and Ronald Lovelace; and sister, Gladys Irwin.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Lecanto, FL. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 AM. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM, at Christian Memorial Gardens in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where Mr. Lovelace will be laid to rest.
