Richard Malacara Obituary

Richard Malacara, a cherished individual known for his vibrant spirit and loving nature, passed on peacefully on December 21, 2024, in Milwaukee, WI. Born on September 3, 1937, in San Antonio, TX, Richard lived a full and memorable life marked by his dedication to family, his passion for music, and his love for sports.

Richard's life was a testament to the joy he found in simple pleasures. He was an accomplished bowler, proudly achieving the elusive perfect 300 game, which brought him immense joy and pride. His love for music was equally profound; he skillfully played the bass and enjoyed the camaraderie of performing in a band. An avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Richard never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team and share that enthusiasm with those around him.

His musical tastes were as eclectic as his talents, with a particular fondness for both Mexican and country music. These genres brought him comfort and joy, and he often shared his love for them with his family and friends. Richard's early claim to fame came at the young age of 13 when he pitched a no-hitter game, a remarkable achievement that was celebrated in the local paper.

Professionally, Richard was a dedicated employee at Racine Steel Casting, formerly known as Bell City, where he was respected by his colleagues for his strong work ethic and his ability to bring humor and light-heartedness to the workplace. His hands were skilled not only in his work but also in his ability to fix and create, making him the go-to person for anyone in need of a helping hand.

Above all, Richard was a family man. His daughters were the center of his world, and he poured his heart into supporting and nurturing them. He is survived by his loving daughters, Sylvia Malacara, Rose Marie De La O, Annette (Lucio) Nunez, Margaret (Anthony) Gude, Marlene (Jacinto) Torres, the late Sandra (the late Ricardo Trevino) Malacara-Trevino, Melanie (Jimmy) Santiago, and Elidia (Rafael) Rosales. Each of them carries a piece of his legacy, his strength, and his love.

Those who knew Richard would describe him as funny, loving, and a handy man. His sense of humor was infectious, often bringing laughter and lightness to any room he entered. His love was boundless, enveloping his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. And his handiness was a trait that not only served him well throughout his life but also became a source of inspiration for his family.

Richard's life was one of joy, laughter, and music. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his warm presence. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the music played, and the lives she so positively influenced. Richard's passing leaves behind a legacy of love, a reminder to cherish every moment, and to live life with a full heart.

As we say goodbye to Richard Malacara, we take solace in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide and comfort us.
