RICHARD MCELROY Obituary
In 1986, Richard met Janice Howard. They married in 1988, building a life in Coronado CA and raising two daughters. A devoted husband and father, he coached their teams, loved golf, and valued time with family and friends. Known for his humor, kindness, and loyalty, he made friends wherever he went. He is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters, Kristina and Michelle; brother Thomas McElroy (Charlotte) and extended family. In his final act of generosity, he donated his brain to advance research on CTE linked to his years playing football. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Concussion & CTE Foundation.
