Richard M. McGranaghan, age 89, of Wayne, PA, formerly of Bryn Mawr, PA and Avalon, NJ, passed away on January 16, 2023. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was the son of the late Richard C. and Marie A. McGranaghan (nee Malloy).
Richard was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War era. He had been employed as a Production Control Manager in the steel industry.
Richard was a thoughtful, humble, generous, loving, optimistic man. He enjoyed Philadelphia sports, Villanova basketball, and keeping up with current events. He enjoyed spending time with his beautiful bride and family, crossword puzzles, the beach and dancing up a storm.
Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helga (nee Maas). Dear father of John McGranaghan (Maryellen), Sue Paolantonio (Joe), Rich McGranaghan and Cyndi Sylvester (Tony). Grandfather of Kristen, Kevin, Jake, Elise (Drew), Dan, Shane, Madison, Emily and Chloe. Great-grandfather of Natalie and Nora.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, January 20, 2023 9:30-10:30 AM at Church of Our Mother of Good Counsel, 31 Pennswood Road, Bryn Mawr, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA,
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111 would be appreciated.
