Barbara McGranaghan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley Funeral Home - Marlton on Aug. 18, 2024.
Barbara A. McGranaghan, (nee Schwiering) a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully at her home on August 16, 2024 in Southampton, at the age of 80.
Barbara spent her childhood in Camden before creating a life filled with love and laughter in Pennsauken and then Lake Pine, Medford, with her devoted husband of 60 years, George McGranaghan. Together, they raised a beautiful family, and she was a cherished presence in the lives of her daughters, Barbara Barry (Andrew) and Theresa Waropay (Kevin). Her role as a grandmother to Kevin, Brian, Michelle, Meredith, and Mikayla was one she held most dear, embracing every moment with joy and boundless love. Barbara will also be missed by her loving sisters Katherine Sundstrom and Marie Curcio.
A woman of unwavering faith, Barbara was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Lakes in Medford, NJ. Her involvement in the church community was a testament to her faith-filled life, and she found great comfort in the fellowship within the parish. She was a die-hard fan of Philadelphia's sports teams, shouting her support thru the TV for the Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles. Barbara also enjoyed watching her favorite shows and playing her favorite game shows. Yet, above all her interests, it was the simple pleasure of being with her family that she cherished most, and these moments became the treasures of her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday August 22nd from 10-11 AM at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday at the church. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
