Rick was born on August 3, 1945 in Bucyrus Ohio, to Harry and Virginia (Madison) McLaughlin, both of whom are deceased. He is survived by a brother, James McLaughlin of Upper Sandusky, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 5 brothers, Larry, Tom, Robert, William and Donald McLaughlin.
Rick was retired and had worked for Smith's Salvage Yard in Harpster, and Honey Creek of Wyandot.
For hobbies he enjoyed fishing, hunting and throwing horseshoes.
Graveside services for Richard "Rick" McLaughlin will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Nevada Cemetery, Nevada, Ohio.
Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with the funeral expenses and can be sent to Lucas Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
