Scott Allen Shifflet, age 53, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Scott was born on June 21, 1972, in Upper Sandusky, to Max Elden and Shirley Ellen (Kiehl) Shifflet and they preceded him in death. Scott was married to Rhonda Fite on March 4, 1999, in Killeen, Texas and she survives in Findlay.

Scott is also survived by his children: Jeromey "J.J." Shoemaker of Oklahoma, Jordan (Elizabeth) Shoemaker of North Baltimore, Teal (Cole Bland) Shifflet of Upper Sandusky, Tessa Shifflet of Findlay, 10 grandchildren: Phoenix, Drake, Aiyana, Xerick, Elliena, Lunera, Ziva, Oskar, Violet, Tehya, and one bonus grandson Benjamin. Scott is also survived by his sister Evonne Shifflet, God brothers Matt and John Hotelling, several nieces and nephews, and his special dog Lilly.

Scott graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1990 and then went on to serve in the United States Army. After, Scott worked at Freudenberg – NOK in Findlay for many years. At one point, he even ran his own lawn care and snowplow company.

Scott enjoyed riding motorcycles, Scott was a diehard Cincinnati Bengals fan, and he always enjoyed trying to make people laugh. Scott loved his grandchildren and loved to spend time with family.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the American Legion Post 225 in Upper Sandusky. A private burial will take place at Old Mission Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
