Richard K. "Rick" Megill

Richard "Rick" Megill of Watertown, SD passed away at the age of 57 on May 24, 2025.
A private prayer service was held on June 9, 2025. Burial will be at a later date.
Richard Keith Megill (Ricky) was born on May 28, 1967 in Espanola, New Mexico. He was the third child and only son to Harold K. and Viola E. (Grass) Megill. He had two older sisters, Denee and Susie. He grew up in Espanola. He graduated from McCurdy High School in 1986. He furthered his education at Westmar College in LeMars, IA, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business in 1990.
Rick worked as a radio DJ in Iowa then made a career working for banking call centers in Sioux Falls, SD.
He spent time working for Esurance, Wells Fargo and Premier Bank Card.
In his spare time, Rick enjoyed reading, Christian podcasts, and watching the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys, he loved road trips and animals (especially dogs). He enjoyed a side gig working DoorDash and loved talking to people. His favorite food was peanut butter. He could go through a jar in two to three days!
Ricky is survived by his sisters, Denee Delauder (Gene) of San Manuel, AZ and Susie Trapp (Dean) of Sioux Falls, SD.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Viola Megill; grandparents, Harold and Pearl Megill and Gail and Edna Grass; uncles, Rex, Don and Ken Megill; and aunt, Esther Megill.
