Richard (Rick, Dickey) Meredith, 79, of Richmond, Missouri passed away July 28th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born July 2, 1946 in Kyrock, KY to Laurenia Hunt-Meredith & Rex Meredith. He spent his early years as a carny traveling the United States until he was drafted into the Vietnam War where he honorably served 2 tours. He then came home and met the love of his life Debra. After his time in the Army, he tried many different occupations, but ultimately he settled as a diesel/car mechanic who would occasionally travel, driving a diesel as well.

After Rick and Debra officially retired they moved to Stockton, Missouri where he enjoyed the small town feel and gained many friends at local diners and throughout the community. In late 2020, Rick and Debra made the decision to move closer to their daughter after Rick received a cancer diagnosis, followed by a Lewy Body Dementia w/Parkinsonism diagnosis shortly after. Rick never met a stranger, was a kind, caring soul and would help anyone who needed but also stood firm on being true to himself & family.

Richard is preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother William Meredith, and several aunts and uncles. He leaves behind his wife Debra of the home, his daughter Rachel and son in law Mike Barbour, his two sweet grand-daughters Emmalea & Zoey, a multitude of in-laws, whom he accepted as his own brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, along with several great nieces and nephews.

Richard's family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
