Richard Moore, age 63, of Gallatin, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 15, 1962. Prior to residing in Gallatin, the Moore family lived in Trousdale County for many years. Richard served the Trousdale community volunteering with the Rescue Squad, exemplifying his courageous and heroic qualities. Richard was also a parts manager and had an incredible work family at Prevost, where he had a career of over 20 years.
Richard was truly dedicated to his family; he was a wonderful husband and father and did everything he could for the ones he loved at home (including his cat, Chloe, aka Fat Albert). He also took pride in his lawn and enjoyed his John Deer riding mower.
Richard will be remembered for all the laughs he shared with others and his ability to make connections with anyone; he never met a stranger.
Richard will be dearly and deeply missed by many, and his memory will be treasured.
Richard Lewis Moore is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Jennifer Moore; daughter, Maggie Moore; stepdaughter, Ashley Hess; sister, Darlene Woodard; and brother, Sam Troutt (Trina).
He was preceded in death by his father, William Moore; mother, Audrey (Jared) Moore; and his great-parents who raised him, Willie and Nella Thurman.
