Richard Mullane Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robertson Funeral & Cremation Service - Charlotte on Aug. 5, 2024.
Richard Patrick Mullane died on July 30, 2024. He was born to Sarah and Cornelius Mullane in Brooklyn, NY on August 9, 1940.
Mr. Mullane was married to Ruth Mullane for 41 years who sadly passed away in 2007. He is survived by his three children; Michael, Matthew and Suzanne; six grandchildren, Caroline, Andrew, Riley, Finnegan, Jonathan and Michael Jr.; his sister Marilyn Riegel and brother Robert Mullane.
Richard was a Marine, a husband, a brother, a father, a grandfather, a friend and a friend of Bill W for more than 43 years. He was loved by all who got past his rough exterior. Mr. Mullane was a man that loved to learn, read, tell a joke, play a sport, give an opinion and enjoy the time he spent with those around him.
Richard was an admirer of Irish Quotes, two of his favorites were: "Those we loved don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear". "May the road rise up to meet you, may the winds be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, may the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday August 9th 2024 at Briar Creek Health Center with Father Frank O'Rourke, officiating.
