Richard Murphy Obituary

Augusta, GA – Rich Murphy, devoted husband to Allison Leonard Murphy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, after facing a long and courageous battle with heart disease.

Rich lived life with a deep love for his family. He had a passion for cars, music, fine watches, and cherished every moment spent traveling to Folly Beach with "his girls."

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Allison Murphy; his children, Ivy Katherine Murphy, Connor Murphy, Joshua Murphy, and Cameron Bernard; his mother, Betty Murphy; his sister, Randi Murphy; his mother and father-in-law, Tom and Joanne Leonard; his sister-in-law, Stephanie Yarbrough; and his cherished cat, Molly Joanne. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

In keeping with Rich's wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
