Richard (Dick) Kenly Newman, Passed away on September 7th, 2025 in Klamath Falls OR. Dick was born in Lakeview OR, on February 29, 1936.

At 21 years old, Dick purchased a 180 Cessna air plane and commuted between Lakeview and San Francisco working in the ship yards. Here he learned his trade of Masonry contracting and received his apprentice in Masonry. Later he began working as a sub-contractor for a large construction company in Bend OR. There he was awarded the job building Shasta Elementary School in Klamath Falls. Along with Shasta Elementary he helped build Brixner Jr. High, Mazama High School, and much more masonry jobs in the Klamath and Lake County area.

Dick later bought two Semi-Trucks and property to build a lumber- brick yard to start long-hauling. This would be to provide his own materials for his business. Later he converted his semi-trucks into water trucks, bought 3 road graders and was awarded the road maintenance contracts for Wayne Freemont and Umpqua National Forests.

After being semi-retired he continued to work small jobs, and enjoyed fishing, hunting. He would always take his mules Margaret and Lucille on the hunting adventures for deer and elk. Most importantly he loved spending quality time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Arla Newman. They raised 5 children: Saleana, Brian, Kenly, Trina and Faden. Dick was preceded in death by his son Kenly. He has 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who were very special and close to him.

There will be a celebration of life Saturday September 27th, 2025 at 1pm. This will be at Dicks home 5520 Villa Dr., Klamath Falls, Oregon.
