Richard Keith Norling

Richard (Rick) Keith Norling, the son of Richard (Dick) and Haldis (Haldy) Norling, was born on April 19, 1953 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.



He was educated in Minneapolis at Wenonah Elementary School, Nokomis Junior High and Roosevelt High School, graduating in 1971. Rick enjoyed riding his motorcycle, helping others, playing music and traveling with his wife.



Growing up, he formed his love of music, his sense of humor with never-ending jokes, his friendly, outgoing personality and his overflowing care for people. He grew up in a neighborhood that was nurturing and supportive. He admired his parents' love for each other and his sense of safety with them. He loved going to his relatives' cabin and would drive to those areas as an adult and reminisce.



Rick was most proud of his children Andi and Adam. His heart melted with the arrival of each grandchild. They were his happy place and he enjoyed every moment spent with them.



Rick is survived by his wife, Gwen of Bloomington, daughter Andi (Chuck) Hays of Mound, Adam (Katie) of Lakeville, and grandchildren Maddie, Dannie and Alex Hays and Natalie Norling. He is also survived by the mother of his children Vicki Terwilliger, brother-in-laws and spouses, sister-in-law and spouse, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.



Rick accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He will always be in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved him.
