Richard Penvose Obituary

Richard "Dick" A. Penvose, 86, DuBois, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at Christ the King Manor.

Born August 15, 1937, in Sykesville, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Saline) Penvose.

On May 13, 1961, he married Joyce (Johnson) Penvose in DuBois. She preceded him in death on June 29, 2022.

Dick graduated from Sykesville High School in 1955. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Dick retired as a typesetter from the printing department at the Courier Express. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church.

Dick was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dick was preceded in death by his son, Randy Penvose, brothers, Neil, Lester, and Orland Penvose, and sisters, Sevilla and Mary Helen.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. from the Christ Lutheran Church with Reverends John and Amy Miller officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.

Memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 875 Sunflower Dr., DuBois.
