Richard Frank Plosczynski, 83, of Mountain, passed away February 27, 2026. Born on March 24, 1942, he is the son of Ann and Frank Plosczynski. He. He graduated from Marinette High School in 1960. Richard then went on to serve in the Army Reserve for 6 years and was honorably discharged. At the age of 16 his first car was a charcoal gray, Model A Ford. He married Rita Wertepny and had two girs. Back in the 1980s he won 2nd place in a dance competition at Bay Park Square Mall and his special friends and dance instructors at that time were Jim and Janet Powell.
He loved playing cards, dice, and dance to country music and polka. Richard also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son in law Matt, his father, brother, and best friend Tom. Last fall he drove the tractor to store it for the winter. Family was the utmost important to Richard. He built his two homes in Peshtigo. Richard owned his own business Modern Office in Marinette. He also worked at National Revenue Corp for ten years and was awarded top ten in his district over three states and received a pin in recognition and became the Regional Manager. He then retired, and built a home in Mountain, WI. On the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest next to the live trout stream.
He has five daughters, Corinne Losser (Plosczynski), Nicole Plosczynski, Carra Janssen (Plosczynski), and two he adopted Lisa De Groot and Lori Van Gompel; Grandchildren Courtney Losser, Gunnar Plosczynski-Losser, Hunter Plosczynski-Losser and Sykora Losser. Great grandchildren are Gunnar & Destiny's. Zamora Losser, Morrison Rodgers, Zyre Plosczynski-Losser, Kaius Plosczynski-Losser & Salem Losser. Sykora has one on the way. Baby girl, Raina.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, brother Daniel and Nicole Plosczynski his daughter.
His special friends Tom, Mary, and Jenny Elson, Lee and Ellen Wertepny, Donna Clausen-Fritz, Darlene Watson. His daughter Corinne & Matt for help with supporting & caring for him through out his life, our Big Daddy! It's the moment and happy memories that will be missed. Courtney & Brian reached out on special occasions & when they were in town. Gunnar and Destiny with all the great grandchildren loved to visit and help him cook meals & lots of quality time. Gunnar with roof, landscaping and homemade steps down to the trout stream. Grandchildren loved to color, play dice and he always had ice cream treats. Hunter & Natalie enjoyed visiting and spending time when they weren't working or out of town. Sykora and son-n-law Jacob also played an important role in his life. Almost every other weekend they'd visit and go shopping, mow the lawn, grill out, play cards & dice. Lets not forget Kodiak. "I Ruv you!"
Love and thank you for all the support and for those of you that kept in touch with Richard throughout his life.
Special thanks to Tom, Meals on Wheels. He'd wait at the table with his coffee he was always excited to see him. Jody and Jeff Felsing for plowing. St Vincent Hospital the IMCU and all the doctors and staff. Simply Cremations for their caring support .Respecting Richard's wishes which is to be cremated and no funeral. A special ceremony will be in the near future at his home. You'll be missed! We love you. Big daddy, grandpa, and great grandpa. Richard used to say I am buying " nostrovia" "lets have one", now we'll have one on you! Guess we are buying. Dupayash! Love You!
