It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard 'Rick' Policastro of Barker MIll Arms in Auburn Maine. Born on July 26, 1950 to Carmela and George Policastro, he lived his life on his own terms guided by his love for Jesus. He courageously fought cancer for the last month of his life until he was brought to the fullness of God on May 26, 2025.

Rick was predeceased by both of his parents, his brothers George Jr. and Anthony Policastro, nephew Ronald Westman Jr., sister Mary (Policastro) Westman and beloved brother in law Ronald J Westman Sr.

Rick valued family ties. Never failing to keep in touch with relatives in NY. He loved to spend his time caring for others and sharing his days with his loving fiancee Brenda Bouthot. He loved being a resident at Barker Mills, helping out whenever he could. He loved to laugh and had one of the brightest smiles.

He is survived by Brenda and his extended family, Laura (Chuck) Pierce, grandchildren Cameron C, Candace Jarvis, Brianna Hesketh, Jillian Pelletier, 18 Great Grandchildren and by a brother Alfred (Rita) Policastro, nieces Joanne (Jimmy) Noone, AnneMarie (Darin Peterson) Phelan and Debora Anne (Justin) Kappel.

Rick's interment will be at the Holy Rood Cemetery Westbury NY where he will be buried with his nephew, Ronald Jr. Rick especially loved being an Uncle to his sisters' children.

His family requests donations be made to The Andwell Hospice House for their care and compassion during his last days or to the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Maine
