Richard Poliquin, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Gore, Oklahoma, on May 24, 2025. He was born on June 14, 1940, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, to Paul Poliquin and Rose Amie Poliquin (Auclair).
A proud veteran, Richard honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. His service and commitment to the values of duty and integrity were reflected throughout his life. After his military career, Richard enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-fishing, hunting, and playing poker. He was also an avid collector, with a keen interest in guns, coins, and other treasured collectibles.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Donna Poliquin (Carroll); his children, Dale Poliquin and wife Cheryl, Tammy Poliquin, and Richard D. Poliquin and wife Angela; as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought joy to his life. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rose Amie Poliquin; and his beloved daughters, Loretta Lynn Lopez and Dawn Michelle Poliquin.
He will be laid to rest with honors at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, a fitting tribute to a life of service and dedication. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Richard, please visit our floral store.
