Rick Rollison, 70, of Quantico, Virginia passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025.
Rick was born in Gainesville, Florida to Sara and John Rollison on May 11, 195. He graduated from Gar-Field High School and upon graduation attended Lycoming College on a wrestling scholarship. Shortly afterwards, his interest in Art and Design led him to transfer to Virginia Commonwealth University which made it possible to follow his dream of working in Hollywood.
After a career in the movie industry, Rick returned to Woodbridge when his mother was sick, and where he began to see a high school acquaintance, Florence Petkoson, his partner for the last 15 years. After his return, he was also happily reunited with his now deceased brother Stan, who he shared mutual childhood interests and passions.
Rick is survived by his brother Jack Rollison and sister Liz Strehle, nephews Josh Strehle, Stephen Strehle, and Jay Rollison; nieces Sarah Rosales, Theresa Rollison, and Amanda Schoffstall.
As a lover of animals, in lieu of any contribution in remembrance of Rick, please place that kindness toward any cause that brings you joy.
In moving forward, the family will focus on Rick's passing as a celebration of life. We extend this opportunity to each of you to take time to care deeply for each other and extend that love to those who might be in need of a genuine act of kindness.
Services will be private, thank you for respecting our wishes and this time to process our loss.
