Richard L. “Dick” Rorick 82 of Parchment passed away Sunday February 12, 2023 at Ascension Borgess Hospital. Dick was born September 30, 1940 in Kalamazoo the son of Harold and Rosanna (Letsinger) Rorick. He attended school in Kalamazoo and entered in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Tully Greenland then served in the Air National Guard after his discharge. Dick was employed by Eaton Corporation and then the Air National Guard; he was an avid bowler, Detroit Tiger Baseball and Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family events and playing horseshoes, cooking and gardening. On August 30, 1986 in Kalamazoo Dick was united in marriage to the former Mara Balcuns who survives. Also surviving are four children, Lyn Wolff, Doug (Laura) Rorick, Andrew Rorick, Daniel Rorick; two step-sons, Michael (Jennifer) Pollard, Derek (Kelly) Pollard; two brothers, Bernard (Celia) Rorick, Harry (Joni) Rorick; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Todd Rorick; four brothers, Charles, Robert, Edward, Joe Rorick; half-brother, Walter Rorick; two half-sisters, Donnabelle Granger, Marge Pappas. Friends will be received 4-7 pm Friday February 17, 2023 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home. Interment will take place at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
