Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was born in Buffalo, NY on October 7, 1967, the son of Carol (Steven) [Burg] Mayer and Stephen (Bonnie) Sarles.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 38 years Kim M. [Reinard] Sarles, his children Aaron Sarles, Rachel Sarles and Ashley (Ricky) Goolsby, a daughter in law Amanda Sarles, four grandchildren Cameron, Blake, Ricky and Sarah, a great-grandson Sean Earl, siblings Tristan (Kyra) Sarles and Andrea (James) Letcher, father and mother-in-law James (Mary) Reinard, sister-in-laws Tammy Snelgrove and Jackie Clark-Reinard, brother-in-law Todd Snelgrove, also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the late Brian Besaw, Jr. and brother in law of James C. Reinard.
Rich enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. They were always his first priority. He had a huge heart and was very loving, caring and giving. He was always there in someone's time of need.
He enjoyed sports, he played hockey most of his life as well as coaching with his best friend. He also played golf, tennis and mostly enjoyed basketball with his kids and grandsons. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter, he taught his son and daughter to enjoy the great outdoors and take in the beauty and peacefulness of our God's creation. He will be missed as his life was a testimony to our Lord and Savior with the love he shared to everyone.
His family will be present on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
