Janet Sarles, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, in Greenville, Texas. Born on March 2, 1933, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Janet dedicated her life to her family and career as a working mother in retail sales, where she was known not only for her professionalism but also for her warm personality that brought joy to many.
A proud graduate of high school in Minneapolis, Jan's zest for life was widely recognized. She had an innate ability to uplift those around her with her bright smile and hearty laugh, often accompanied by her personalized cards and letters that carried her heartfelt sentiments. Her thoughtfulness and creativity were cherished by friends and family alike, making her a source of happiness and encouragement in their lives.
In her later years, Jan found joy in activities such as square dancing and participating in events with the "Red Hat" ladies, showcasing her spirited nature and love for companionship and fun.
She is survived by her loving sister, Shirley (Keto) Woitas, her son, William D. Sarles, and her cherished grandchildren Gary Sarles, Alex Sarles, Jeff Sarles, Laura (Waygood) Temple and Evan Waygood, along nine great-grandchildren. Jan's family will carry on her legacy of kindness and connection, holding her memory close to their hearts.
Jan is preceded in death by her husband William W. Sarles, brother, Robert Keto, and sisters Patsy (Keto) Rose and Sandra (Keto) Meehan. Their memories will live on through the love she shared and the joy she brought into the world.
As we remember Jan Sarles, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and an unwavering commitment to bringing joy to others. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
