Richard Seeman Obituary
MORTON- Richard L. Seeman, 83, of Morton, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Carle Health Methodist Medical Center.
He was born March 29, 1940, in Joliet, Ill., to Lloyd and Lorraine (Knoop) Seeman. Rich married Carolyn Brookman on April 1, 1961, in Joliet.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Seeman of Morton; daughter, LeeAnn Roe of Morton; son, Rick (Julie) Seeman, Jr. of St. Charles, Ill.; five grandchildren, Phoebe (Jake) Fagerburg, Alexander (Ashley) Roe, Jacob (Lauren) Seeman, Kevin Seeman and Lucas Seeman; great-granddaughter, Emilia Seeman; and sister, Dianne “Dee” Seeman of Joliet, Ill.
Rich worked 42 years for Caterpillar Inc., retiring in 2002 as a training supervisor in East Peoria.
He was an integral member and past president of Peoria Camera Club, where he received numerous awards.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with a celebration of life sharing starting at 3 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Peoria Camera Club or Forest Park Nature Center in Peoria Heights, where Richard enjoyed taking pictures of nature.
