Richard "Dick" Sherer, cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner, OR on June 22, 2025 at the age of 87.

Born on June 15, 1938 in Pendleton, Oregon, Dick was the treasured son of the late Beulah and Harold "Doc" Sherer. His life was distinguished by an unwavering commitment to his family, a resilient spirit, and a reserved strength that profoundly affected those around him.

Dick is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Margo (Bartalamay) Sherer, whose love and companionship formed the cornerstone of his life. Together, the raised three sons; Scott Sherer of Irrigon, OR (wife Alice), Todd Sherer of Suwanee, GA (wife Jennifer), and Brett Sherer of Tillamook, OR (wife Kristi). He also leaves behind a legacy comprising of 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was a devoted father and a trusted source of guidance and wisdom for his family.

Additionally, he is survived by his loving sisters; Kay Barnhart of Redmond, OR and Judy Ripka of Tillamook, OR, who shared countless memories and milestones with him throughout his life.

Dick's legacy is one characterized by grit, dedication, and quiet integrity. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

A private family service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dick's memory to a charity of your choice.
