Ricky was born on January 8, 1976, to Fred Wayne Shields and Evelyn Joyce Shields. Ricky was known for his practical jokes. He was the comedian in the family and loved making people laugh. He loved animals and was always bringing home a stray dog or cat. Ricky enjoyed fishing and was an avid MSU Bulldog fan. Most of all, he loved his two daughters dearly. Always telling them to take a picture of him and his big truck. There was no in between with Ricky. He was so full of life. He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. He will truly be missed by all.
Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Fred Shields. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Shields of Richland, MS; daughters, Amber Shields Quick (Hayden) of Florence and Kristian Nicole Shields (Kaleb Strickland) of Florence, MS; brothers, Anthony Shields (Karen) of Richland, MS, and David Shields (Lynn Thornton) of Pensacola, FL; niece, Kamryn Shields and nephew, Garrett Shields (Chloe).
