Richard Wayne Silva

Richard Wayne Silva passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2025 at his daughter's home surrounded by the love of his children and family. After 11 years and 3 days, he was reunited with his loving wife, Terri.
Born on July 17, 1949, in Houston, Texas, he was the beloved son of Forrest and Marcella Silva. He was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife, Terri, for 32 of years, a loving and supportive father to all four of his children, and cherished Pawpaw to his 6.5 grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Marcella Silva, and his lovely wife, Terri Silva. He is survived by his children Jason, Jeffrey, Tiffany, and Brad Silva, their spouses, Stephanie, Melissa, and Makayla Silva, his grandchildren, Makenzie, Lane, Kaylee, Logan, Kori, Claire, and soon-to-be Maverick Silva, and his siblings, Forrest and Robert Silva, and Debbie Wright and their children.
Richard, or Dick, was known for his dirty jokes, spitfire attitude, levelheadedness, problem-solving abilities, and ability to make those around him feel at home. He always put his children first and listened without judgement. He enjoyed spending time outdoors at his ranch with his family, fishing in his pond with his grandchildren, hunting, and watching westerns. He will be remembered for his storytelling of his adventures, wisdom, and debauchery.
Richard spent time from 1969-1971 in the Army as a Sargent. He was a Green Beret in 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), B-53 MACV-SOG, and recipient of the Bronze Star for his bravery during combat. He will be missed dearly, but he is at peace and reunited with his wife. A funeral service will be held on at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, TX, the date and times are currently pending. A reception will follow at Brad and Makayla's house 15235 Kelbrook Dr. Houston, TX 77062.
